Im ersten Teil, von 11:00 bis 14:00, werden sechs ausgewählte Arbeiten präsentiert und mit dem Expert*innen-Panel diskutiert. Nachmittagssession Im zweiten Teil, von 16:00 bis 19:00, findet eine Diskussion mit dem Expert*innen-Panel über persönliche Erfahrungen mit Umbau in der Architektur-Lehre und wie dieser in der Entwurfslehre gestärkt werden kann, statt. Abschließend laden wir zu einem Apéro ein.

Adam Caruso studied architecture at McGill University in Montreal. He taught at the University of North London from 1990 to 2000, and was Professor of Architecture at the University of Bath from 2002 to 2005. He has been Visiting Professor at the Accademia di Achitettura in Mendrisio, at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, at the ETH Zurich, and on the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics. In 2011 Adam Caruso was appointed Professor of Architecture and Construction at the ETH Zurich. With Peter St John, Adam Caruso established Caruso St John in 1990. Projects by the practice include; New Art Gallery Walsall, Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood, Brick House, London and Gagosian Galleries in London, Rome, Paris and Hong Kong. Recently completed projects include Nottingham Contemporary and the new Café at Chiswick Gardens. Caruso St John has been the architect for Tate Britain since 2007.

Jan De Vylder and Inge Vinck are cofounders of jan de vylder architecten (2008), architecten de vylder vinck taillieu (2010), and most recently, of architecten jan de vylder inge vinck (A JDVIV). A JDVIV explores ideas launched at ETH Zurich in the studio series titled Universum Carrousel Journey (UCJ): Universum as a world to be created. Carrousel as ever ongoing. Journey as an exploration. A JDVIV/UCJ is a multidisciplinary practice in which making and thinking are deeply embedded. New horizons are being explored internationally and in research, and profound positions are being taken, both in the firm's interest in drawing and also in debating the essence of urgency today.

Elke Krasny, PhD, Professor for Art and Education and Head of the Department of Education in the Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Krasny’s scholarship, academic writings, curatorial work, and international lectures address questions of care at the present historical conjuncture with a focus on emancipatory and transformative practices in art, curating, architecture and urbanism. The 2019 exhibition and edited volume Critical Care. Architecture and Urbanism for a Broken Planet, curated and edited together with Angelika Fitz, was published by MIT Press and introduces a care perspective in architecture addressing the anthropocenic conditions of the global present. Her 2020 essay ‘In-Sorge-Bleiben. Care-Feminismus für einen infizierten Planeten‘ develops a care-ethical perspective for pandemic times and was published by transcript in Michael Volkmer’s and Karin Werner’s volume Die Corona-Gesellschaft.

Astrid Staufer führt mit Thomas Hasler das Architekturbüro Staufer & Hasler in Frauenfeld / Zürich und seit 2011 die Professur Hochbau & Entwerfen an der TU Wien. 2015 wurden sie gemeinsam für ihr Wirken in Praxis, Lehre und Forschung mit dem Prix Meret Oppenheim des Bundesamtes für Kultur ausgezeichnet. Als Forschungsleiterin des Instituts Konstruktives Entwerfen der ZHAW engagierte sie sich für Nachhaltigkeitsfragen in Lehre und Forschung, u.a. auf dem Feld von «intelligent komponierten Hybriden» oder für die Publikation «ArchitekturKlimaAtlas. Klimabewusst Entwerfen in Geschichte, Forschung und Praxis», die demnächst erscheint.
